Sunday, August 23, at Journey Fellowship 9th Ward, we had the privilege and honor to hear Mr. Douglas E. Fulenwider speak to our hearts. Mr. Fulenwider is the Louisiana District Superintendent of Assemblies of God.
His powerful message was about “Going to God’s Pantry.” He avowed that God gives His children anything and everything they ask of Him just as a father gives to his child. There is nothing a Father wouldn’t do for his child.
How amazing is that! “Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.” (Matthew 6:8) God wants us to be happy. He wants us to be able to trust in Him and come to Him for all of our wants and desires. Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:21-22)
God loves each and everyone of us that much. He will not give to one and not to the other. “If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? (Luke 11:11-13)
Mr. Douglas Fulenwider concluded, “You must belong to God to have access to all His Kingdom. In order to go to ‘God’s Pantry,’ you must accept Him as your Savior and Father.
Mother Estelle Zenon was enlightened by the word of God this day. It was a confirmation on her prayers to God. She mumbled to herself at the end of service, “God’s word, right on time.”
As for me, she took the words right out of my mouth. I know deep in my heart that God will do anything I ask of Him as long as He is in an agreement with me. He is an amazing God. It was awesome and uplifting for me as well. God is good.
Peace be with you all.

P.S. Testimonies after this powerful sermon as follows:
Bernice Chaisson: On that Sunday, Bernice responded to the altar call after Mr. Fulenwider’s sermon. She did not have the money to enroll for this semester to college. On Tuesday, she received a full scholarship that made it possible for her to re-enroll.
Justina: Responded to the altar call as well on Sunday and received a breakthrough that same week. On Monday, she learned that the job she thought she’d be laid off from due to lack of funding was granted funding from another source. Therefore, she was able to be re-hired. Moreover, on Tuesday, Justina received a refund check in the mail from her previous landlord.
